Are you looking for practical ways to increase your income, optimize your work time, and expand your impact on people's lives through psychotherapeutic groups focused on specific topics?

PIPA is our Professional Intervention Programa in Adversity. It is much more than just a response to disasters or extreme situations. It offers an innovative and evidence-based approach that equips you to work with groups effectively and safely, designing interventions around key themes like anxiety, emotional regulation, stress management, burnout, grief, strengthening inner resources, and even early interventions for traumatic experiences, among other relevant topics in contemporary mental health.

With this program — combining five on-demand modules and two live online sessions — you’ll discover how working with groups can be a game-changer for your clinical practice.

  • Earn more per hour: By working with multiple participants at once, you significantly increase your hourly income potential. The total value generated is much higher than an individual session during the same time frame, even if each participant pays a lower rate.
  • Create themed groups: PIPA enables you to structure groups around high-demand, specific topics. This makes outreach easier, attracts targeted audiences interested in personal growth, well-being, and overcoming common challenges.
  • Reach more people: You’ll be able to provide psychotherapeutic interventions to individuals who might not otherwise access one-on-one care. Group settings can feel less intimidating, are more affordable, and offer the powerful support of shared experience. You’ll broaden your impact by promoting mental health in a community-based format and reaching far more people.
  • Achieve powerful clinical outcomes: Master techniques for emotional stabilization, the installation of positive resources, and group-adapted principles of desensitization and reprocessing. PIPA teaches you to apply scientifically grounded tools safely and effectively in group settings, achieving meaningful change even in complex, challenging scenarios.

You do not need to be an EMDR psychotherapist to take PIPA or apply its adapted techniques. However, professionals familiar with EMDR will find it even easier to integrate and deepen the use of PIPA’s exercises in group contexts.

With in-depth theory and practical training, you'll master group interventions and achieve greater clinical outcomes, profitability, and lasting social impact!

This program is divided into three parts:

  • Part 1: Modules 1 to 5 (recorded classes) provide a foundational theoretical introduction to trauma and teach exercises for stabilization, desensitization, and reprocessing. These recorded videos cover the essential knowledge that PIPA professionals must understand in order to respond to questions from their group participants. There is a quiz at the end of each module, requiring a minimum passing score of 70% to progress to the next module.
  • Part 2: In Module 6 (5 hours live), practical exercises are taught that are essential for fully implementing the program with others in the future. Attendance at this live training is required to ensure a deeper understanding and to help participants develop the necessary skills and practical confidence. Each participant will experience the personal impact of the exercises and practice them with peers in small breakout groups.
  • Part 3: Two hours of mandatory live online consultation are provided to monitor participants' progress. The course certificate is only issued after this consultation is completed.
