She is the president of the TraumaClinic Group, which encompasses EMDR Psychotherapy Training (EMDR Training & Consulting), Brainspotting Training, her clinical work, editorial work, the licensing of the TraumaClinic Methodology, and a variety of advanced in-person and online courses (both live and on-demand) — all integrated into a comprehensive approach to healing from adverse experiences. As an author, she has published several books, with "Healing the Folks Who Live Inside" and "Heal Your Brain, Heal Your Body" being her most well-known titles. Esly also holds a Ph.D. in Psychology and has over 40 years of clinical experience across multiple countries. She is fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish.
